Role Overview
The CNC Programmer will be accountable for developing, refining, and upkeeping CNC programs for lathes, milling machines, and other related equipment within the Riyadh workshop. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, selecting tools and machining approaches, and producing CNC code to create precise metal parts. Regular duties involve preparing and adjusting programs, working alongside machinists to validate setups, diagnosing machining issues, and modifying parameters to boost productivity and quality. The role also entails verifying finished parts against specifications, maintaining records for programs and processes, adhering to safety and quality standards, and cooperating with production and engineering teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including blueprints and schematics.
- Strong skills in CNC programming applicable to lathes, milling machines, and similar equipment.
- Practical knowledge of machining and milling operations, covering tooling choices, feed rates, speeds, and setup optimization.
- Familiarity with CNC controllers and CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360 is advantageous.
- Understanding of quality control procedures, use of measurement instruments like calipers and micrometers, and adherence to tolerance specifications.
- Commitment to maintaining workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance with operational protocols.
- Excellent communication abilities and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors.
- Possession of a technical diploma, degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred prior experience in CNC programming and metalworking machining environments.
