Role Description
This is a full-time remote position involving the creation, modification, and optimization of CNC programs for milling and machining based on technical drawings and designs. Your daily responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling and cutting parameters, performing program simulations and validations, and coordinating with clients or shop personnel to ensure the manufacturability, quality, and efficiency of parts produced.
Additional duties include troubleshooting machining problems, updating documentation systematically, and maintaining a well-organized library of CNC programs. You will manage your schedule independently and handle project communication and deadlines while upholding stringent safety and quality standards in all programming activities.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC programming, including creating, editing, and optimizing machine code.
- Strong understanding of machining and milling processes with practical knowledge of manufacturing constraints.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications accurately.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve tooling, process, and quality concerns.
- Experience with CNC controllers and CAM software such as FANUC, Siemens, Mastercam, or Fusion 360 is advantageous.
- Self-motivation to work autonomously, manage several projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with remote clients.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or technical degrees in fields related to manufacturing, machining, or engineering are beneficial.
