Role Overview

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of compensation programs across various countries and business units. Responsibilities include translating approved compensation decisions into operational workflows, executing system transactions, payroll entries, and data updates. The role requires solid governance, audit preparedness, process improvement, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure excellent service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer salary adjustments, incentive rewards, bonuses, promotions, and retention awards in compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate compensation cycles and bonus schemes by conducting eligibility checks, proration calculations, updating participants, and supporting payouts.
  • Process and verify compensation-related data transactions, bulk uploads, and update HR systems maintaining accuracy.
  • Work closely with Payroll, Finance, People teams, and Compensation specialists to ensure timely processing and reconciliation.
  • Conduct validation before and after data loads, investigate anomalies, and maintain comprehensive audit records.
  • Support market pay benchmarking, salary range analysis, compa-ratio evaluations, and internal equity assessments.
  • Assist with job architecture initiatives, organizational restructuring, mergers & acquisitions integration, and compensation fitment programs.
  • Oversee international transfers and global mobility compensation reviews using market and peer data.
  • Manage compensation-related cases and queries, providing clear guidance and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes, strengthen controls, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years’ experience in compensation operations, compensation administration, HR or payroll operations, or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of compensation principles including salary ranges, pay structures, midpoint positioning, compa-ratios, bonus eligibility, and equity.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis, with strong detail orientation and accuracy.
  • Proficient in processing HRIS transactions, data uploads, and maintenance of compensation systems.
  • Familiarity with Workday, including experience using EIB transactions or bulk data processing.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, governance directives, and operational procedures accurately.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, and exception-handling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate compensation concepts to a range of stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Experience working with global or multi-country compensation programs.
  • Background in annual compensation planning, incentive administration, and bonus processing.
  • Knowledge of compensation surveys, market benchmarking, and job architecture methodologies.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and international transfer fitment.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other case-management systems.
  • Exposure to process improvements, automation projects, reporting, dashboard creation, and user acceptance testing.
