Role Overview
The Community Manager position is a full-time onsite role located in Chennai, focused on cultivating, engaging, and supporting the ZION LEADERSHIFT HUB community. Daily responsibilities include organizing and executing events, workshops, and community-driven initiatives to ensure excellent participant experiences and smooth operational flow.
This role encompasses moderating both online and face-to-face discussions, addressing community queries, collecting feedback, and managing communication channels such as emails, messaging platforms, and social media accounts. The Community Manager will also work alongside internal teams to promote initiatives, assist in content creation and announcements, and keep an organized calendar of community activities.
Tracking community engagement metrics, preparing brief reports, and contributing to the refinement of strategies aiming to boost member involvement and satisfaction are key elements of this role.
Qualifications
- Ability to foster strong community engagement and build relationships creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
- Exceptional organizational capability to coordinate events, manage schedules, and oversee simultaneous projects effectively.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and spoken, in English, with added advantage for knowledge of local languages spoken in Chennai.
- Basic skills in content creation and social media management to facilitate community updates and outreach.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management abilities, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when addressing member issues and feedback.
- Readiness to work on-site in Chennai and collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams as well as external partners.
- Experience in community management, event coordination, education sector, non-profit organizations or related areas is advantageous.
- Preferably holds a bachelor's degree in any field; additional certifications in communications, leadership, or community development are an added benefit.
