Role Overview
The Community Manager at GianTech Empire holds a full-time position based in Yaoundé, offering a hybrid work setup with some work-from-home flexibility. The person in this role is tasked with managing both digital and physical community spaces, engaging members, and ensuring a positive environment across social platforms and messaging channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing online and offline communities by facilitating discussions and nurturing an inclusive atmosphere.
- Engaging actively with community members by responding to questions, comments, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Planning and implementing community-oriented initiatives, events, and campaigns to boost interaction and foster brand loyalty.
- Collaborating closely with marketing and product teams to collect insights, develop relevant content, and assist with outreach efforts.
- Tracking community metrics, generating engagement and growth reports, and proposing enhancements for community strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to grow and oversee communities, including moderating discussions positively.
- Strong written communication skills suitable for creating posts, announcements, and responses that represent the organization's voice.
- Experience with social media platforms, community management tools, and fundamental analytics for monitoring engagement.
- Excellent organizational and time management capacities to juggle events and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective teamwork skills to partner with cross-departmental teams like marketing, product development, and customer support.
- Competent problem-solving and conflict management capabilities to address member issues and escalate when necessary.
- Preferred prior roles in community management, customer success, or similar fields.
- Relevant academic background in communications, marketing, social sciences, or equivalent real-world experience.
- Adaptability to work in a hybrid format and dependable presence for on-site commitments in Yaoundé.
- Familiarity with common office software and collaboration tools; multilingual abilities are a plus.
