Role Overview
We seek a Community Manager passionate about social media trends and engagement. As the key driver of content creation and community interaction, you will ensure our clients maintain dynamic and impactful social presences across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute social-first content strategies for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube Shorts.
- Generate and develop innovative creative concepts aligned with campaign briefs, adapting ideas to each platform's unique style.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of social media shoots from preparation to post-production.
- Remain agile and resourceful, quickly adapting to emerging trends and opportunities.
- Monitor cultural moments, viral memes, and trending topics to produce timely, brand-appropriate responses.
- Engage actively with communities by responding authentically in brand voice and building meaningful audience relationships.
- Collaborate with internal influencer teams to integrate influencer strategies into cohesive social media campaigns.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships, managing their social media success and outcomes.
- Brainstorm with clients and internal teams to conceive fresh content that resonates with target demographics.
Candidate Profile
- Deeply familiar with internet culture, capable of embodying multiple brand personas.
- Creative, confident on-camera and off, with a flair for storytelling and compelling visuals that stop viewers mid-scroll.
- Both collaborative in team settings and capable of leading projects independently.
- A proactive trend seeker and influencer within social media spaces.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Community Manager or equivalent role focusing on content creation and community engagement.
- Demonstrable success managing and expanding social media presence for significant B2C brands.
- Prior experience working within an agency environment managing client accounts.
- Strong writing and editing capabilities, with versatility adapting tone across platforms and audiences.
- Ability to analyze social media performance data, derive insights, and make informed strategy adjustments.
- A genuine passion for active social media engagement and trend awareness.
- Creativity in developing innovative social content ideas.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms such as Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
Compensation & Work Location
Later adopts a data-driven approach to compensation, evaluating market benchmarks to ensure fair pay aligned with role function, level, and geographic location. Salary ranges for this role are between $70,000 and $80,000 per year. All full-time employees can participate in comprehensive benefits programs.
This role is remote-based with flexibility, supporting candidates located in Vancouver, British Columbia, and other permissible locations.
