Job description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of priority community initiatives throughout the Asia Pacific region. The focus is on driving impactful engagement within student-focused, CIP aligned, and specialized community programs, while gradually increasing ownership of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and delivery of community programs targeted at students across APAC, working closely with relevant chapters through established engagement frameworks.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinator for emerging volunteer, specialized, and CIP aligned community efforts, ensuring proper intake processes, readiness, and alignment with chapters and global stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, gaps in delivery, and opportunities for process improvements and present recommendations to regional leadership.
  • Take progressively greater responsibility for specific programs or initiatives based on expertise and organizational needs.
  • Contribute to additional time-sensitive or ad hoc projects as directed by regional leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, or a closely related area.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in community management, engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships and collaborations.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and organizational platforms is an advantage.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects with complex timelines and dependencies.
  • Background working with student, academic, or early-career groups is beneficial.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership mindset and ability to structure early-stage or ambiguous programs.
  • Experience in events or association management is a plus.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining diverse relationship and account management programs and a culture that supports learning.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, balancing consistency across regions and effective unified communication.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Additional Southeast Asian language skills (e.g., Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Thai) are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% or more as required.
