Role Summary

We are looking for a Communications Specialist to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement by clearly articulating the progress and architecture of Zero Trust initiatives. This person will convert intricate technical details into easily understandable, tailored content that supports government decision-making and coordinated implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create executive briefings, periodic stakeholder updates, talking points, and concise progress summaries regarding maturity and implementation.
  • Interpret technical data, risks, dependencies, and recommendations into clear language for diverse audiences.
  • Assist in planning communications related to system rollouts, pilot programs, architecture evaluations, and operational readiness efforts.
  • Ensure consistent use of terminology and messaging across scorecards, reports, use cases, engineering documents, and status updates.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to gather inputs and verify messages align with approved source materials prior to distribution.
  • Collect stakeholder feedback and channel communication-related tasks to the correct project leads.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Technical Writing, Business, Information Systems, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years in communications or technical writing roles within IT, cybersecurity, or Federal programs.
  • Proven skill in simplifying complex technical information for both executive-level and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong capabilities in editing, creating presentations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Experience managing recurring communications in dynamic technical environments.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

  • Background supporting cybersecurity modernization or Zero Trust projects.
  • Experience developing executive briefings and decision-support materials for Federal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with terms related to architecture, engineering, and implementation.
  • Certifications such as PMP or CAPM, Security+, or recognized technical communication credentials are a plus.
