Role Overview
The Communication and PR Lead is tasked with formulating and implementing Schneider Electric's cohesive communication strategy encompassing internal and external messaging, media relations, executive branding, and crisis response. This role directs the entire communications framework including strategic planning, agency partnerships, budget management, channel oversight, and governance. Serving as the chief communications consultant to the Country President and leadership team, the role ensures that Schneider Electric's messaging, reputation, and leadership voice remain polished, trustworthy, and consistently articulated across all stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Develop and guide a unified communications approach aligned with global standards and local business objectives.
- Manage the yearly communications budget with accountability for cost-effectiveness and impact.
- Implement governance structures, messaging frameworks, editorial schedules, and approval workflows.
- Oversee the network of communication agencies including PR, media, content, events, and crisis management partners.
- Set project scopes, KPIs, and conduct performance assessments to enhance agency effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with Schneider Electric’s brand guidelines and quality expectations in all agencies’ deliverables.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders, crafting speeches, talking points, interviews, and executive communications.
- Lead internal communications to drive strategy comprehension, engagement, and cultural cohesion aligned with transformation initiatives.
- Manage external communications focusing on media relations, proactive storytelling, thought leadership, and reputation management in Saudi Arabia.
- Conduct media events such as press conferences, roundtables, and executive interviews to elevate Schneider Electric's profile.
- Promote Schneider Electric as a sustainability and digital transformation authority supporting Saudi Vision 2030 priorities.
- Coordinate crisis communication planning, readiness drills, and response coordination during reputational or operational incidents.
- Measure and analyze KPIs such as media sentiment, share of voice, and engagement metrics to refine communication strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background in corporate or strategic communications, PR, within complex or matrixed organizations.
- Experience managing communications budgets and coordinating with multiple agency partners.
- Exceptional media relations expertise in the Saudi market with strong contacts and credibility.
- Track record of advising senior executives and orchestrating significant media engagements.
- Industry experience in energy, infrastructure, industrial, or technology sectors preferred.
- Outstanding editorial skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
