Role Overview

We are looking for committed and adaptable Commis / Kitchen Assistants to join our energetic kitchen team. This position offers an exciting chance to aid kitchen operations to ensure seamless service delivery. You will collaborate with seasoned cooks to prepare meals while upholding strict hygiene and safety protocols, contributing positively to the kitchen's overall success.

Core Duties

• Assist in preparing food by washing, chopping, and seasoning ingredients.
• Ensure all food items are stored at proper temperatures to comply with food safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment like blenders, ovens, and grills in a safe manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas and sanitize utensils and equipment after each shift.
• Support handling of orders and special service requests during busy periods to facilitate smooth kitchen operation.

Job Requirements

• Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a kitchen or similar food-related role.
• Hold a hygiene certification or an equivalent qualification.
• Work efficiently within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate versatility and adaptability to various tasks.
• Additional experience in cold dish preparation or ingredient handling is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Support kitchen staff by washing vegetables, chopping, and seasoning ingredients prior to service.
• Monitor and maintain suitable storage conditions for food to ensure safety.
• Use kitchen appliances appropriately and efficiently.
• Keep food preparation zones clean and properly sanitize all utensils after work shifts.
• Assist the team in managing multiple food orders and special requests or reservations as necessary.
