Position Overview

The role entails preparing various cooking ingredients, including tasks such as portioning, chopping, and proper food storage. Responsibilities include washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, accurately weighing and measuring ingredients, and preparing dishes in line with set recipes, quality criteria, presentation guidelines, and preparation checklists.

Key Duties

• Prepare cold food items and operate kitchen appliances like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Assess food doneness by testing and continuously monitor quality during preparation.
• Set up and dismantle workstations efficiently.
• Serve food in the correct portions onto suitable containers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitize kitchen surfaces, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment regularly.
• Verify the temperature accuracy of appliances and food to ensure safety standards.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security protocols, report any maintenance issues, accidents, or hazardous conditions.
• Complete safety training and certifications as required.
• Present a clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality of company information, and safeguard assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, fostering positive and cooperative relationships.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking for long durations, and handling objects up to 25 pounds.
• Complete any additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar food preparation role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications are necessary.
