Role Summary

The College Counselor position is a full-time onsite role based in Jiddah, providing guidance and support to high school students as they explore higher education opportunities. The counselor assists learners and their families with post-secondary option exploration, college application development, and academic pathway planning that aligns with individual goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct meetings with students and families to guide college selection and application procedures.
• Manage timelines for college applications and standardized testing preparation.
• Assist with crafting essays and coordinate the collection of recommendation letters.
• Provide advice on financial aid resources and scholarship opportunities.
• Organize workshops and information sessions related to college admissions.
• Stay informed about admission requirements for both local and international universities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school administrators, and external organizations to facilitate smooth transitions to higher education.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in college and student counseling, supporting diverse high school populations in academic and career planning.
• In-depth understanding of the college application process, including platforms and admission prerequisites.
• Experience engaging with high school students through one-on-one and group counseling, as well as facilitating workshops and communicating with parents.
• Knowledgeable about student financial aid, scholarships, and funding options for both domestic and foreign educational institutions.
• A bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related discipline; additional certifications in school or college counseling are advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop rapport and trust with students, families, and staff.
• Excellent organizational capabilities to track multiple students' application timelines and documentation.
• Familiarity with international higher education systems and admission policies, preferably with experience in analogous school environments.
