Job description
Role Overview
We are urgently seeking a Collections Executive to manage non-performing asset (NPA) cases with 180+ days past due (DPD) within a financial services environment. This role focuses on achieving monthly recovery and collection goals through both telephonic and field interactions with delinquent customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases classified as 180+ DPD NPAs efficiently.
- Meet or exceed monthly recovery and collection targets as assigned.
- Initiate and maintain customer contact via calls and field collections to follow up on repayments.
- Understand customer challenges regarding repayment and negotiate alternatives fitting company policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation of Promise to Pay (PTP) commitments and actual payments.
- Update daily collection progress and customer statuses within CRM or MIS systems.
- Follow up diligently on missed PTPs and escalate complex cases to team leadership.
- Collaborate with relevant departments when handling high-risk or long-pending accounts.
- Adhere strictly to organizational collection protocols and applicable regulations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience within NPA management, banking, NBFC, fintech, or loan collection sectors is advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity and comfort working alongside collections teams.
- Basic understanding of key terms and processes: DPD, PTP, NPA, and recovery flows.
Performance Metrics
- Recovery of 180+ DPD NPA portfolios.
- Efficiency in collections and conversion of PTPs into payments.
- Consistent daily follow-up with customers and ensuring contactability.
- Reducing the number of outstanding NPA accounts.
