About the Role
The role involves managing overdue accounts by consistently monitoring aging reports and client records to identify and prioritize outstanding payments. The Collection Executive will proactively reach out to customers through calls, emails, and formal correspondence to remind them of overdue balances or upcoming payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly review customer accounts and aging reports to detect overdue payments and plan collection actions accordingly.
- Contact clients using multiple communication channels to prompt payment and maintain effective dialogue.
- Negotiate with customers facing financial challenges to develop feasible payment plans or settlements tailored to their situations.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of account statuses, customer interactions, and payments received within the company’s CRM or billing software.
- Handle and resolve any billing issues, disputes, or customer complaints that may be causing delayed payments.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and regional laws while preparing periodic reports detailing collection outcomes and recovery statistics for management review.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities, able to engage customers constructively to secure repayments without damaging relationships.
- Emotional intelligence characterized by patience and empathy to effectively manage difficult or sensitive financial conversations.
- Proficiency with accounting tools, CRM platforms, and office software to accurately manage and track collection data.
- Analytical problem-solving skills sufficient to investigate payment discrepancies, assess customer financial constraints, and recommend actionable resolutions.
