Job Description

  • Handle an assigned collection portfolio of overdue motor hire purchase accounts across different stages of delinquency.
  • Communicate with customers through calls and messages to facilitate recovery of pending payments.
  • Negotiate repayment arrangements, restructurings, and settlements within granted limits and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
  • Liaise with repossession agents, external debt collectors, and legal firms for escalated cases including voluntary vehicle surrender and recovery of shortfall post vehicle sale.
  • Keep precise and updated records of collection efforts, payment plans, and account statuses in the management system.
  • Maintain meticulous records of payments and all customer interactions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years experience in collections or debt recovery, ideally within motor hire purchase financing.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to stay composed during challenging conversations.
  • Detail-oriented in record-keeping and diligent in follow-ups.
  • Proficient with intermediate Excel functions.
  • Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across departments and stakeholders.
