Job Overview
The CNC Operator will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC and VMC machines to ensure optimal performance and limited downtime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and address breakdowns for CNC and VMC machining equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues within CNC/VMC machines including problems with motors, drives, sensors, switches, and control panels.
- Inspect spindle assemblies, lubrication systems, coolant circulation, and tool changers to maintain operational reliability.
- Support troubleshooting efforts concerning CNC controller alarms and machine control systems.
- Perform regular machine inspections to detect and prevent possible failures early on.
- Keep detailed records of machine maintenance activities and breakdown incidents.
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce machine downtime and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and maintained properly.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and maintenance protocols at all times.
- Assist with installation, servicing, and repairs of machines as needed.
