CNC Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience to diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machinery and production assets. This function is vital for maximizing equipment uptime and ensuring safe and smooth manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities

• Follow all local and company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines and promptly report any unsafe incidents or hazards.
• Use established analytical and operational techniques to complete assigned maintenance tasks proficiently.
• Collaborate closely with the maintenance manager and communicate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for troubleshooting and maintenance coordination.
• Maintain a good understanding of CNC machine controls, including electrical and mechanical subsystems.
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance schedules, as well as react promptly to unscheduled and emergency repairs, including after-hours support when needed.
• Install and upgrade machinery as part of special projects aimed at boosting machine performance and overall productivity.
• Manage inventory of maintenance materials to minimize downtime from unavailable parts.
• Conduct skilled mechanical work using various hand, power, and machine tools to install, troubleshoot, repair, or modify equipment.
• Document all predictive and corrective maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system.
• Regularly inspect facility equipment to identify and resolve issues early.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required Skills and Experience

• Diploma in Electromechanics Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in equipment maintenance, specializing in CNC machinery services.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities in electrical and mechanical domains.
• Proficiency in interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machines is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively share moderately complex technical information within the team.
