Position Overview
Join Valiant TMS, a globally recognized industry leader, as a CNC Machinist specializing in Vertical Milling. Located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, we are seeking candidates for a swing or steady night shift to contribute to our skilled Tool & Gage team. This role involves machining highly precise components used in tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages, demanding both collaboration with experienced machinists and toolmakers and dedication to quality output.
Primary Responsibilities
- Setup and operation of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers, including choosing, installing, and adjusting tooling and fixtures as needed.
- Loading raw materials and workpieces securely based on setup instructions and engineering specifications.
- Developing, editing, validating, and optimizing CNC programs utilizing G-code and CAM software, with adjustments to machine offsets as required.
- Conducting first-piece inspections using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges to confirm setup and program precision.
- Supervising machining processes and refining tooling, feed rates, speeds, and offsets to maintain product quality, dimensional standards, surface finish, and operational efficiency.
- Diagnosing machining issues, working with supervisors and quality teams to address non-conformances and enhance workflows.
- Accurately completing documentation for production, inspections, and machine performance promptly.
- Carrying out regular machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication in compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Supporting prototype, small batch, and full production machining tasks while participating in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and productivity enhancement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in machining.
- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Familiarity with CNC programming using software such as Mastercam or Lemoine.
- High safety awareness combined with meticulous attention to detail for accuracy in machining.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team setting.
- Capacity to adjust work schedules to meet customer production demands.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is mandatory.

Compensation and Additional Information
The anticipated hourly wage ranges from $28 to $32 per hour, depending on education, experience, skill set, and geographic location. This recruitment pertains to an active vacancy. Notably, Canadian work experience is not required, and evaluations do not incorporate artificial intelligence screening methods.
