Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong programming skills ready to elevate their career by contributing to advanced defence, aerospace, and manufacturing projects. At this role, you will produce precision components used in critical, high-tech applications for global industry leaders utilizing cutting-edge 3 and 5-axis machining centers.
Role Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate medium to large 3 and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Manufacture complex precision parts according to detailed engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and documentation with accuracy.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure tight tolerance and quality standards are met.
- Perform thorough quality inspections to uphold exceptional workmanship and production standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety practices, embodying a "Safety Before Production" culture.
- Collaborate effectively with skilled machinists, engineers, and production teams to meet project goals.
- Tackle technical challenges and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enhance your CNC programming and machining capabilities by working with advanced technology and evolving processes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess trade certification in Fitting & Turning or equivalent credentials.
- Demonstrable CNC machining experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong proficiency in CNC programming and hands-on operation of 3 and 5-axis machining centers.
- Experience with CNC control systems including Heidenhain, Siemens, and/or Fanuc.
- CAM programming knowledge using tools such as Mastercam or PowerMill is highly advantageous.
- Ability to confidently read, interpret, and apply detailed engineering drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a commitment to quality output.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for precision machining.

Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
