CNC Machine Operator

Job Overview

As a CNC Machine Operator specializing in 3D printing, you will manage the operation and upkeep of SLA and FDM 3D printers, prepare print jobs, oversee production processes, and conduct post-processing tasks while ensuring the end products meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate SLA and FDM 3D printing equipment, setting up jobs using slicing software and selecting optimal print orientations, supports, and settings.
• Monitor prints for potential issues and handle removal of completed prints efficiently.
• Maintain an effective print schedule to maximize equipment use.
• Conduct post-processing activities including support removal, cleaning, sanding, and UV curing for resin parts; similarly, perform finishing and quality checks on FDM prints.
• Regularly clean and maintain printers and related components; troubleshoot minor issues and escalate significant problems as needed.
• Ensure the printing workspace remains organized and clean.
• Perform quality control by inspecting printed parts for defects and dimensional accuracy, logging results and identifying causes of print failures.
• Keep detailed daily records covering production output, material usage, failed prints, and wastage; comply with established company SOPs.

Qualifications and Skills

• ITI, Diploma, or Polytechnic qualification is preferred.
• Experience ranging from freshers to 2 years in 3D printing, manufacturing, or machine operation is acceptable.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and a responsible work ethic.
• Hands-on approach with eagerness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with SLA and FDM 3D printers, including brands like Bambu Lab, Jupiter, Elegoo, and Anycubic.
• Knowledge of slicing software such as Bambu Studio, Cura, and PrusaSlicer.
• Basic skills in CAD/STL file handling and model finishing techniques like sanding and painting.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities.

Additional Notes

Comprehensive training will be provided; prior expert knowledge of 3D printing is not required.

Compensation

The remuneration ranges between INR 17,000 and INR 20,000 per month.
