Role Description

The CNC Detailer is responsible for generating precise technical drawings and documentation to guide CNC machines in producing components accurately according to design requirements. This position requires close coordination with design, engineering, and production departments to translate conceptual designs into detailed files that CNC machines can execute, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed CNC technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions based on design concepts or CAD input.
• Transform engineering drawings into CNC-compatible formats such as G-code and CAM files.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to verify accuracy and manufacturability.
• Validate dimensions, tolerances, and material details prior to production.
• Maintain and update CNC design documentation, including revision tracking.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming challenges in partnership with machine operators.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and production schedules.
• Organize technical files, drawings, and project documentation systematically.
• Propose enhancements to designs or processes to improve the efficiency of CNC production.
• Assist in production planning by supplying precise lead time estimates and material requirement data.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience working as a CNC Detailer, CNC Programmer, or in a comparable technical role.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields focused on CNC programming.
• Additional certifications related to CAD/CAM software or CNC operations are advantageous.
• Graduated from recognized technical institutes.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficient user of CAD software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalents.
• Experienced in CAM software applications and CNC machine programming techniques.
• Basic understanding of CNC machine tools, tooling components, and manufacturing workflows.
