About the Role
SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.), a joint venture of NXP and TSMC, offers advanced semiconductor fabrication solutions in a fully equipped SMIF cleanroom environment with 100% automation. We are seeking a driven and skilled Equipment Engineer to join our Diffusion (CMP) Department and contribute to sustaining and enhancing equipment performance within operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve equipment performance metrics to align with operational targets.
- Participate in rotating shift duties to support ongoing production activities.
- Maximize equipment uptime and reliability through scheduled and recovery maintenance procedures.
- Ensure equipment performance meets Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) objectives.
- Adhere strictly to ISO standards and company quality management systems.
- Forecast and manage inventory of spare parts and consumables to meet production demands within budget.
- Develop and sustain preventive maintenance operating instructions to standardize equipment handling.
- Train and mentor Associate Engineers through on-the-job training and skill development aligned with evolving technologies.
- Propose enhancements for equipment capabilities, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) initiatives to optimize equipment performance and operational cost of ownership.
- Support new equipment startup from facility integration and vendor coordination through to equipment acceptance.
- Document corrective actions and best-known methods for efficient troubleshooting and knowledge retention.
- Maintain a safe, organized workspace with compliance to housekeeping and safety standards.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Diploma holders in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant semiconductor equipment maintenance experience are also welcome.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in semiconductor manufacturing environments; fresh degree graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in high-vacuum system maintenance is essential.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork and responsibility.
