Role Overview

This hybrid position based in Dublin involves being part of the Data Cloud team focused on enhancing Creditsafe's data products with an emphasis on high throughput and scalability. The team develops an ELTL data warehouse and serving platform utilizing Python and AWS technologies such as Lambdas, ECS, Step Functions, SQS, S3, Redshift, Aurora, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and X-Ray. This platform processes more than a billion objects daily, maintaining data integrity and auditability while supporting fast, highly available APIs for client data access.

Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to the codebase and participate in peer code reviews.
• Architect and develop a metadata-driven, event-based distributed data processing system leveraging tools like Python, Airflow, Redshift, DynamoDB, AWS Glue, and S3.
• Design, develop and deploy critical systems serving thousands of customers, with continual learning opportunities.
• Scale Creditsafe's secure APIs to handle over 1,000 transactions per second using serverless architectures.
• Implement continuous integration methodologies for rapid delivery of high-quality code.
• Collaborate closely with QA using a shift-left testing strategy focusing on maintainability and quality from the outset.
• Analyze company and domain-specific data to propose improvements for existing products.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven ability to write clean, efficient code optimized for cloud environments.
• Documented experience developing production-grade APIs and data pipelines in Python within a commercial setting.
• A strong commitment to continuous personal and team development and growth.
• Enjoy tackling technical challenges, problem-solving, whiteboarding, and collaborating with team members.
• Exceptional communication skills, with clarity in sharing viewpoints and openness to others' perspectives.
• Deep and broad technical expertise demonstrated by executing complex technical tasks and resolving challenging technology problems.
• Proficient in sharing knowledge through wikis, blogs, presentations, and other collaborative forums.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to boost productivity and code quality is welcomed.
