Job Responsibilities

• Develop software based on established designs and perform thorough developer testing to ensure high code quality.
• Conduct functional integration tests on new software during internal testing phases and promptly resolve any issues identified.
• Manage resolution of software defects found in internal and external testing to facilitate smooth deployment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex problems in both legacy and new codebases, applying strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards in development, quality, and delivery within the project team, contributing actively to short development and release cycles.
• Collaborate seamlessly with distributed teams across locations to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
• Adopt and execute agile software engineering practices throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, quality assurance, and documentation.

Technology Stack & Experience

• Expertise in server-side Java development with technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Eclipse Link.
• Experience developing SOAP and RESTful APIs, Microservices architectures, and OData services.
• Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript (ES6), CSS, JSON, and XML.
• Hands-on experience with UI development frameworks like React.js, Angular, or UI5 using the MVC design pattern.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL database technology.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment.
• Experience with cloud-native development platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OpenShift is preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs on backend systems.
• Comfortable using tools such as Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Applied knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and business analysts to translate designs and business needs into functional web applications.
• Capability to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces compatible across devices and browsers.
• Experience performing unit testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects.
• Background in financial or banking systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.
