Cloud Infrastructure Product Manager

Overview

This remote position offers a competitive salary range from $131,000 to $250,000 annually, depending on experience and prior compensation. It is suited for experienced professionals from leading cloud infrastructure providers or technology companies specializing in virtualization, compute platforms, and GPU/AI infrastructure.

Role Summary

The role requires a senior product management leader to define and guide the vision, strategy, and execution of next-generation cloud infrastructure products, including compute and GPU platforms. This individual will collaborate across multiple stakeholders such as engineering, architecture, sales, technology partners, and customers to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions targeted at AI, HPC, enterprise, and cloud use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop product vision, strategic roadmap, and priority plans for cloud compute and GPU technologies.
• Convert customer demands and market trends into detailed product requirements and technical specifications.
• Work alongside engineering teams on CPU/GPU hardware, servers, networking components, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Oversee full product life cycle: from initial concept, launch, continuous optimization through to end-of-life management.
• Create financial models including pricing, business cases, and total cost of ownership analyses to ensure profitability.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and solutions engineering teams to craft effective go-to-market strategies.
• Coordinate with technology partners to align on integration efforts and infrastructure roadmap development.
• Define APIs, automation workflows, and developer experiences to simplify infrastructure consumption.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as utilization, adoption rates, revenue figures, system performance, and profitability metrics.
• Build consensus and alignment across engineering teams, executive leadership, and customer-facing units.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 12 years in product management or related technical roles within cloud infrastructure, engineering, or technology sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid background in cloud infrastructure, compute platforms, virtualization, GPU hardware, or hardware-centric product development.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies including KVM, VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen.
• Understanding of CPU/server architecture, Linux operating systems, networking, storage solutions, containerization, and multi-tenant environments.
• Experience with GPU architectures, CUDA programming, AI/HPC workloads, and accelerated computing platforms.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Deep understanding of cloud economics involving pricing strategies, utilization metrics, profit margins, and total cost of ownership.
• Documented success in defining product strategies, roadmaps, and managing diverse stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills suited for working with highly technical engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Background

Applicants with past experience from vendors like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, Equinix, Cloudflare, VMware, Nutanix, Red Hat, OpenStack or similar are preferred. Candidates having exposure to Cloud Infrastructure Product Management, Compute Platforms, GPU/AI hardware, Virtualization, Cloud Architecture or Infrastructure Engineering will be highly valued.
