About the Role
Absolute IT is searching for a proactive Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and support a cutting-edge enterprise technology landscape. Reporting to the Infrastructure and Operations Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the performance, security, and trustworthiness of both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure platforms. The successful candidate will engage extensively with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and Windows Server environments, alongside promoting automation, security enhancements, and continuous platform development.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, and fine-tune Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 environments effectively
- Support and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including backups, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms
- Administer Intune device management and Microsoft Defender security controls
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve system, infrastructure, and performance issues promptly
- Apply security best practices and uphold compliance standards consistently
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other tools to enhance operational efficiency
- Document technical procedures and maintain operational runbooks diligently
- Collaborate with security, operations, and development units to ensure dependable technology services
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience managing Azure cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure administration
- Experienced with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Intune
- Background supporting Windows Server platforms
- Knowledgeable in networking, firewall configuration, backup procedures, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
- Solid grasp of infrastructure security and compliance protocols
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation capabilities
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Familiar with Infrastructure as Code methodologies such as Terraform
- Understanding of DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Experience with Git and GitHub version control systems
- Exposure to AI agent technologies or agentic workflow implementations
