KPMG in Singapore is a part of a global network of independent professional services firms delivering Audit, Tax, and Advisory services. Operating across 138 countries with over 276,000 partners and staff worldwide, each member firm is legally separate. KPMG International Limited, based in England, provides no client services.

Role Overview

We seek experienced cloud leaders to join our Cloud Infrastructure & Security team, playing a pivotal role in transforming enterprises and government organizations through secure, resilient cloud-first solutions. This position offers involvement in complex and impactful cloud programs across notable platforms, clients, and a dynamic team. The role emphasizes not only hands-on delivery but also strategic influence, team mentorship, and continuous professional development within an evolving digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of cloud infrastructure strategies and implementations for enterprise and government clients, primarily on Azure and AWS, with proficiency in Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC 2.0 and GCC+) frameworks.
  • Design, implement, and operationalize secure, scalable cloud environments covering network architecture, identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring, aligned with IM8, GovTech security baselines, and governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Manage integration processes for GCC 2.0 and GCC+ by evaluating workload compatibility, enforcing security benchmarks, supporting Authority to Operate procedures, and liaising with government stakeholders on hybrid and hybrid migration projects.
  • Lead AI-focused cloud initiatives by architecting and deploying services using AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure OpenAI, and related AI/ML platforms, ensuring compliant, secure production readiness for enterprise and government clients.
  • Drive cloud security programs including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, security control frameworks, and ensuring compliance with organizational and government policies.
  • Modernize datacenter and virtualization technologies, encompassing server virtualization, storage solutions, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management including requirements elicitation, solution design, development oversight, validation, and operation handoff.
  • Establish and uphold operational protocols such as runbooks, standard operating procedures, incident response strategies, and key performance indicators targeting availability, performance, and security.
  • Mentor technical teams, offering guidance and fostering professional growth, certifications, and capability advancement among consultants and engineers.
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams in risk management, compliance, networking, applications, and business units to align infrastructure roadmaps with organizational goals.
  • Engage client leadership and stakeholders by presenting technical recommendations and clarifying trade-offs with business impact insights.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses 5 to 10 years of comprehensive experience in IT infrastructure, virtualization, cloud engineering, or technical consulting with leadership exposure, particularly in Singapore government or enterprise projects.
  • Experience with Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC 2.0 or GCC+) engagements is highly desirable.
  • Holds or pursues certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Microsoft Azure Administrator or Security Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, MCSA Windows Server, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Demonstrates in-depth hands-on expertise with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including their security controls and architectural best practices.
  • Proficient with GCC onboarding, security baselines, IM8 compliance, and hybrid connectivity methods.
  • Experience implementing AI/ML cloud solutions on AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure OpenAI Service, or comparable platforms, ensuring secure and compliant deployment.
  • Strong foundation in Windows Server management, virtualization, storage infrastructure, backup solutions, and disaster recovery.
  • Skilled in identity and access management, network security, encryption methodologies, logging strategies, and SIEM integration.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, and cloud monitoring/observability tools.
