  • Partner with IT and Cloud teams to establish governance frameworks and standards in cloud cost management.
  • Facilitate adoption of FinOps practices throughout the cloud service lifecycle.
  • Track cloud expenditure relative to budgets and escalate material overruns.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, efficiency metrics, and optimization goals related to cloud costs.
  • Analyze unit economics, such as cost per customer, transaction, application, or workload.
  • Support financial evaluations for new cloud services, migrations, and technology investments.
  • Assess financial impact of cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation projects.
  • Work with Procurement in reviewing cloud contracts, discounts, pricing, and vendor commitments.
  • Analyze billing statements and reconcile invoices against internal records.
  • Detect billing inconsistencies, unexpected charges, duplications, and errors.
  • Draft cost optimization recommendations and measure achieved savings.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of policies, allocation models, governance standards, and optimization procedures.
  • Provide financial insights to technology leaders and senior management for investment decisions.
  • Promote cost accountability and FinOps principles across engineering, IT, finance, and business teams.
  • Continuously enhance cloud cost-management processes, reporting precision, automation, and visibility.
