Role Overview

The Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in developing cloud platform and automation solutions, working under guidance to deliver high-quality technical work. This role emphasizes hands-on experience with cloud technologies, continuous learning, and embracing DevOps culture to enhance delivery consistency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Adopt and promote DevOps methodologies, tools, and engineering practices within client engagements and internally.
• Develop and execute technical implementations aligned with established architectural and engineering frameworks.
• Assist in estimating task efforts and story point assignments for project activities.
• Create, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines supporting application and platform deployments.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to deploy cloud infrastructure and platform components effectively.
• Identify and escalate technical risks, dependencies, or blockers encountered during projects.
• Engage actively in technical discussions, code reviews, design sessions, and Agile team ceremonies.
• Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• Build practical skills with emerging cloud, automation, and AI technologies to bolster competency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Background in cloud engineering or DevOps with hands-on experience in production AWS environments.
• Proficient in developing and supporting CI/CD workflows utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental cloud concepts and AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with cloud platform foundations such as Landing Zone and typical cloud or hybrid network architectures.
• Preferred AWS certifications like Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, or Solutions Architect Associate.
• Understanding of cloud migration and modernization principles.
• Experience with cloud security engineering, particularly identity/access management and core security concepts.
• Skilled in infrastructure-as-code and configuration management via Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Capability to write and maintain automation scripts in languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Effective collaboration within cross-functional Agile teams to achieve project goals.
• Demonstrates a growth mindset eager to learn emerging technologies and AI engineering practices.
• Ability to translate client requirements into effective technical solutions with mentorship.
• Exceptional communication skills for teamwork and client engagement.
