Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the position of Cloud Engineer. Reporting directly to the Practice Manager – Cloud, the successful candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on the Azure platform in alignment with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and its services efficiently.
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Terraform tools.
- Oversee Azure Platform as a Service offerings, including managing databases such as Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications utilizing Azure Container Apps or related Azure container services.
- Support Linux-based environments by performing configuration adjustments, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance.
- Assist in the deployment and governance of Azure Landing Zones with a focus on cloud security best practices.
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot cloud components to ensure optimal availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of practical experience working within Azure cloud services.
- Possession of Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
- Strong skills in Linux system administration and problem resolution.
- Hands-on familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and foundational Kubernetes concepts.
- Understanding of Azure Landing Zone architectures, governance frameworks, and cloud security controls.
- Knowledge of networking elements including Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Private Endpoints is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and collaborative skills within team settings.
- Applicants must currently reside within the United Arab Emirates.
Additional Information
Remuneration ranges from AED 8,000 to AED 10,000 monthly, exclusive of visa, insurance, and airfare benefits.
