Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud & Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative cloud solutions. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on technical leadership for cloud transformation and modernization projects. You will work across customer engagement, pre-sales, technical delivery, and solution architecture to create scalable and practical cloud platforms aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate customer discovery sessions, lead architecture workshops, and provide technical advisory support.
- Design and oversee cloud solutions ensuring security, resilience, operational excellence, and cost-efficiency across cloud environments.
- Support migration, modernization, and transformation programs spanning infrastructure, applications, and modern workplace technologies.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management teams to shape project proposals and develop Statements of Work.
- Offer technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during project implementation.
- Create and maintain reusable architectural patterns, standards, and best practices to enhance DDS IT's cloud capabilities.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities within the Cloud Practice.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience delivering cloud solutions with a customer-centric approach in consulting, managed services, or enterprise contexts.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and solution delivery.
- Experience with cloud migration, transformation, and modernization projects.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
- Broad knowledge of identity management, networking, security, hybrid infrastructures, containerization, and cloud governance.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Hands-on problem solver with commercial awareness and practical approach to solution delivery.
