About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead with a background in vocational or employment consultancy to provide authoritative clinical leadership and support within our teams collaborating with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) in Auckland. This position melds strong clinical knowledge with confident leadership skills, stakeholder engagement, and a committed focus on generating positive client outcomes. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will influence clinical excellence, fortify stakeholder connections, and contribute to evolving our MSD-related services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Service Lead to enhance clinical capabilities, expand capacity, and improve service delivery throughout MSD programs.
  • Guide Vocational and Employment Consultants to consistently achieve high-quality, client-centred results, facilitating client work readiness and sustainable employment progression.
  • Offer clinical leadership, mentorship, and support in managing complex clinical cases and decision-making for consultants.
  • Ensure services align with MSD standards through delivering consistent, client-focused outcomes.
  • Evaluate and improve clinical reports for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Advance clinical quality assurance, risk management, and continual improvement initiatives within MSD services.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with MSD, internal teams, clients, and key external stakeholders.
  • Provide practical leadership assistance to the broader clinical team to foster positive client and stakeholder outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience working within MSD services.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership capacity, including coaching and developing clinical staff.
  • Proficient stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities across clinical, operational, and external audiences.
  • Good grasp of rehabilitation, return-to-work programmes, and vocational health service provision.
  • A collaborative mindset and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational and critical decision-making skills.
  • Relevant professional registration with current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Experience reviewing clinical reports and supporting informed decision-making with practical recommendations.
  • More than five years of clinical experience, with leadership or mentoring roles considered advantageous.
