Cleaning Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards at Wymondham College, part of the Sapientia Education Trust. This permanent role is term-time plus 5 weeks, with working hours of 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, along with an additional 3.5 hours on 17 Saturdays annually.

The salary range is £26,697 to £27,147 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of holiday pay, with a full-time equivalent salary of £24,796.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure classrooms and school areas are cleaned thoroughly, covering floors, walls, doors, tables, chairs, windowsills, corridors, kitchen areas, and toilets.
• Conduct deep cleaning of all school areas during school holidays.
• Maintain cleanliness in boarding house communal spaces, dormitories, stairwells, and corridors, including vacuuming, damp mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and specialized carpet shampooing or deep cleaning during breaks.
• Dust and clean all furniture, fixtures, sanitary fittings, and ensure all bins are emptied and rubbish removed to designated spots.
• Assist in preparing boarding houses for conferences and events during non-term periods.
• Adhere strictly to cleaning schedules and promote health and safety within the designated areas.
• Maintain the tidiness of cleaning cupboards and cleanliness of cloths and mops, reporting issues or damages promptly via CISS.
• Comply with the Trust’s Code of Conduct and manage confidential information with care.
• Participate in performance management and continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning is favorable but not essential; onsite training will be offered to suitable candidates.

• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.

Additional Information

The initial employment period includes a probation of three months, during which employment can be terminated with one week's written notice. This probationary period may be extended by one month at the discretion of the Trust.
