Cleaning Specialist

Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated Cleaning Specialist to join our team immediately at Total Cleaning in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This full-time onsite role involves working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, completing a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate is detail-focused and passionate about providing high-quality cleaning services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean floors and various surfaces utilizing recommended cleaning techniques and protocols.
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing appropriate disinfectants and cleaning agents while adhering to safety standards.
• Perform dusting, mopping, sweeping across offices, break rooms, restrooms, common areas, or other assigned spaces.
• Sanitize and disinfect areas following the defined scope of work.
• Empty trash bins promptly and responsibly.
• Report supply needs to supervisor or Area Manager.
• Notify the housekeeping supervisor of any equipment requiring repair or replacement.
• Communicate any building hazards to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Keep cleaning storage areas tidy and well-organized.
• Arrange janitorial closets as needed.
• Secure interior offices, turn off lights, activate alarms, and lock entry doors when applicable.
• Carry out other related tasks as assigned according to the scope of work.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in maintenance or janitorial cleaning is necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Highly detail-oriented and meticulous in task execution.
• Must demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
• Capable of performing light lifting, bending, and stooping.
• Strong emphasis on safety awareness at all times.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
