Role Overview

Fyffes International SA invites applications for the position of Cleaning Operative to join our hygiene team in Balbriggan, Fingal, Ireland. This position involves maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards across production and warehouse areas by accurately following cleaning schedules, work instructions, and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of production zones and storage warehouses to meet quality standards.
• Clean floors, work surfaces, ripening rooms, and other production spaces according to planned intervals.
• Adhere strictly to work instructions and standard operating procedures throughout.
• Complete cleaning tasks as scheduled on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Collaborate with various departments and teams to fulfill operational goals.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards by following the company's clean-as-you-go policy.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, incidents, and near misses promptly to management.
• Operate cleaning equipment, machinery, chemicals, and safety gear safely in line with training received.
• Comply with all company policies concerning health, fire, and food hygiene safety.
• Follow specific warehouse protocols including organic cleaning requirements.

Work Details

The working schedule comprises 37.5 hours weekly, distributed over 5 days within a 7-day period.
