Cleaner - Full Time

Job Location and Shift Details

This full-time cleaning position is based at Edmonton Garrison, Alberta. The working days are Monday through Friday, with shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Role Overview

The building cleaner is responsible for ensuring the premises remain clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. This includes upkeep of common areas and washrooms, floor care, and cleaning windows and glass surfaces.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in common rooms, kitchens, and washrooms
• Sweep and mop all floors regularly
• Clean windows and keep blinds free of dust
• Dispose of garbage properly and timely
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are kept in sanitary and safe conditions
• Identify and report any maintenance or replacement needs promptly

Required Skills and Abilities

• Understanding of cleaning and sanitation products, their uses, techniques, and methods
• WHMIS certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Physical capability to reach, kneel, bend, and perform activities requiring mobility
• Ability to lift, push, and pull loads usually around 30 pounds

• Successful completion of a Canadian background check
• Reliable personal transportation for commuting to the site, as public transit is unavailable
