About the Role
Join our team as a Clay AI Trainee where you'll develop, oversee, and improve outbound prospecting workflows utilizing Clay.com. This role involves hands-on training to gain specialized skills in AI-driven sales enrichment, data waterfalling, and the design of automated outbound campaigns — essential techniques in advanced Sales Development Representative (SDR) and lead generation functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain Clay tables for prospecting, enrichment, and lead scoring processes.
- Configure data waterfalls integrating enrichment services such as Apollo, Clearbit, and Hunter within Clay.
- Leverage Clay's AI-powered columns (GPT/Claude) to tailor outbound communications on a large scale.
- Connect Clay workflows to CRM platforms and outreach tools like Smartlead, Instantly, HubSpot, and Salesforce.
- Track and ensure data quality, email deliverability, and enrichment precision across campaigns.
- Work with SDRs and campaign managers to convert targeting criteria including Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), firmographics, and technographics into actionable Clay logic.
- Document all workflow procedures and continuously test and refine for improved match and response rates.
- Stay updated on the latest Clay features and AI-assisted prospecting best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Highly inquisitive and attentive to detail, comfortable handling data and automation tools.
- Fundamental skills in spreadsheets and formulas (Excel or Google Sheets); experience with no-code or low-code tools is advantageous.
- Interest in AI technologies, sales tools, or growth and marketing operations.
- Effective written communication capabilities for message personalization and prompt creation.
- Analytical thinker who embraces testing, measuring results, and iteratively improving processes.
- Prior experience with Clay, ChatGPT/Claude, Zapier, Make, or CRM software is beneficial but not required.
Educational Requirements and Experience
A bachelor's degree in any field is required. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with zero to one year of experience are preferred. The position demands a strong eagerness to learn rapidly in a dynamic, results-focused setting.
Compensation and Growth Opportunities
This role offers a monthly stipend ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 INR. The trainee will receive hands-on involvement with one of the fastest evolving tools in sales technology alongside exposure to real-world client campaigns spanning media, entertainment, and technology sectors. Successful trainees can advance to a permanent role in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or as Lead Generation Specialists.
