Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Class 4 driver located in Singapore. The primary responsibility involves operating company trucks safely to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to various construction sites. Daily duties include conducting basic vehicle inspections before and after trips, securing cargo properly, adhering to designated routes, and following delivery schedules. The driver will also coordinate with site supervisors and the logistics team, maintain vehicle cleanliness, observe all traffic and safety regulations, and interact professionally with customers and vendors to positively represent the company.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience and strong skills in driving heavy vehicles and trucks.
- Possession of a valid Singapore Class 4 driving license with a clean driving record; understanding of CDL-type rules is beneficial.
- Good communication abilities to liaise effectively with site teams, supervisors, and logistics personnel.
- Customer service aptitude to engage professionally with clients and suppliers.
- Sound knowledge of local road safety laws, traffic regulations, and safe loading standards.
- Capability to follow delivery timelines, operate within a fast-moving construction environment, and manage time efficiently.
- Basic vehicle check skills and readiness to report maintenance concerns; commitment to safety protocols and company policies.
- Physical fitness to support loading and unloading tasks as needed and to work onsite.
- Previous experience in construction or logistics is favorable; a minimum of secondary education or equivalent qualification is preferred.
