Claims Handler

About the Role

We are seeking a Claims Handler to manage a diverse portfolio of insurance claims aligned with our company’s ethos of collaboration, expertise, and innovation. This role supports our commitment to enabling opportunities for clients, employees, investors, and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and assess insurance claims across multiple business lines in accordance with company claims philosophy.
• Participate in market claims meetings as required.
• Communicate claims trends and significant cases to Underwriters.
• Engage with brokers, insured parties, and other stakeholders effectively.
• Adjust claims within authorized limits and act as a referral contact ensuring prompt notification of new claims.
• Ensure precise coverage review and maintain accurate reserving.
• Prepare internal reports for the London claims team and support claims management activities.
• Report major losses promptly internally.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
• Understanding of the London Market is preferred.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and adaptability.
• Strong team collaboration skills and proactive work approach.
• Willingness to pursue Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications.

Experience

Previous experience in the insurance sector is mandatory, with preference for candidates familiar with the London Market.
