Role Overview
The position of Claims Coordinator is based on-site in Campbellfield, Victoria, and is a full-time employment role. The incumbent will manage and coordinate insurance claim activities related to construction and property development projects, including specialised insurance cases. Key duties involve evaluating claim documentation, liaising with insurers, loss assessors, clients, and internal project teams, and ensuring the maintenance of accurate claims documentation and tracking tools. The role includes preparing detailed progress reports, monitoring timelines and budgets associated with claims, and facilitating the resolution of claim-related challenges to achieve equitable and prompt conclusions. Collaboration with operations and project managers is essential to align claim management with construction timelines and quality requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in managing end-to-end insurance claims within construction or property sectors.
- Strong foundation in insurance principles, particularly property, construction, and specialty insurance claims.
- Analytical capability to review complex claim documents, interpret policy specifics, and identify potential risks or inconsistencies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with insurers, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in construction, property management, or insurance with understanding of Australian construction and insurance standards.
- Physical presence at the Campbellfield location with strong time management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Competency with office software and familiarity with claims or project management platforms; knowledge of ISO-certified environments is advantageous.
- Educational credentials such as certificates or diplomas in insurance, construction management, business administration, or similar fields are preferred.
