Civil / Structural Draftsman

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Draftsman with a solid background in UAE construction and contracting. This role involves preparing, updating, and maintaining precise technical drawings to support project execution and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed construction and technical drawings tailored to project needs.
• Use AutoCAD and other drafting or BIM tools to develop and revise drawings.
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built documentation, layouts, sectional views, and detailed drawings as necessary.
• Examine architectural, structural, and MEP plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for coordination.
• Verify that all drawings adhere to project specifications, approved plans, and relevant standards.
• Maintain communication with engineers, project managers, site personnel, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment.
• Update drawings to reflect site conditions and incorporate feedback from consultants or clients.
• Keep organized records and versions of all project drawings throughout the lifecycle.
• Support site teams by providing technical drawings and clarification when needed.
• Compile and finalize as-built drawings and documentation during project closure.
• Guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of all drawings.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 4 to 5 years' experience working as a Draftsman in the UAE construction or contracting sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with additional drafting or BIM software is beneficial.
• Strong comprehension of construction drawings, technical specifications, and site dynamics.
• Capability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail coupled with a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective coordination and communication skills for teamwork and stakeholder interaction.
• Preferably holds a diploma or relevant certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
• Availability to join the organization immediately is highly preferred.

Compensation

The position offers a salary of AED 6000 per month.
