Position Overview

The role of Civil Foreman is a full-time, on-site position located in Abu Dhabi. The Civil Foreman supervises and coordinates daily civil construction operations on project sites. Responsibilities include managing work crews, assigning tasks, and tracking progress to ensure all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and meet project specifications and quality benchmarks. The foreman also oversees the use of heavy machinery and tools, verifies materials and workmanship quality, and assists with routine maintenance of site equipment and temporary structures.

Daily Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze civil drawings and project documentation.
• Allocate resources and organize on-site manpower effectively.
• Provide regular updates and detailed reports to project engineers and management.
• Resolve on-site challenges promptly to maintain smooth workflow.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with company rules.
• Communicate consistently with site teams, subcontractors, and supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven leadership experience supervising site teams, managing task allocation, and overseeing safety and productivity.
• Practical experience in operating and coordinating heavy equipment, including safety procedures and equipment checks.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with workers, subcontractors, and project staff and for preparing clear site reports.
• Hands-on carpentry abilities and knowledge of civil construction tasks such as formwork, concrete work, and structural installation.
• Skills in maintaining tools, temporary setups, and basic equipment to reduce downtime.
• Previous experience as a Civil Foreman or similar supervisory role in civil construction projects, ideally within the GCC.
• Ability to read and understand civil engineering drawings, technical specifications, and basic quantity takeoffs.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and dedication to safe work practices enforcement.
• Possession of a relevant technical diploma or trade certificate in civil construction or a related discipline is preferred.
• Willingness to work extended hours and adaptability to shifting project demands.
