Role Summary

The Civil Fitout Engineer will be based full-time onsite in Doha, responsible for managing all aspects of civil fit-out work. Key duties include planning, supervising, and coordinating interior and structural finishing tasks to ensure strict compliance with design requirements and project timelines. The role entails reviewing technical drawings, conducting site inspections, overseeing contractor performance, and resolving technical challenges encountered during execution. The engineer will work closely with project managers, MEP teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to synchronize civil fit-out activities with the overall project schedule and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee civil fit-out operations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project plans.
• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to guide on-site activities.
• Carry out routine site inspections to monitor work progress and quality standards.
• Coordinate efforts between contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project alignment.
• Identify and address technical issues promptly to avoid project delays.
• Prepare regular progress reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Support the approval process for materials and assist with cost and schedule optimizations.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and internal company standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in civil engineering fit-out tasks, including interior finishes and interfacing with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Proven ability to read, analyze, and apply technical drawings and specifications with onsite supervision experience.
• Experience in project scheduling, coordination, and progress monitoring, preferably using established project management tools.
• Knowledge of Qatar’s construction codes, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures related to civil fit-out work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and client/subcontractor liaison.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills to manage multiple on-site tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in engineering and office software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
