Position Overview

The company is looking to employ a Civil Excavator Operator at their Hendra location. This hands-on position involves varied duties both operating machinery and assisting in other civil tasks. The role supports the delivery of civil electrical infrastructure projects by ensuring work quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators to dig for pit and pipe installations
• Perform trenching, final grading, and work around active services
• Install pits and conduits as required
• Carry out general labor tasks and concrete work
• Lay pipes for infrastructure projects
• Support other site duties whenever necessary

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are dependable and safety-oriented operators who take pride in their workmanship and value team collaboration. They must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and readiness to engage physically with site tasks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Valid excavator operator license with over 3 years of relevant experience
• Substantial familiarity working near live electrical or NBN civil infrastructure services
• Knowledge of electrical or NBN infrastructure requirements
• Energex accreditations are highly desirable
• Additional certificates such as confined space entry or dogging tickets are advantageous
• Willingness to work shifts, both day and night, as needed
• Strong communication, a proactive attitude, and ability to work well within a team
