Civil Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to manage and oversee various civil construction activities at residential multi-storey sites in Surat, Gujarat. The role involves supervising masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing tasks to ensure compliance with approved plans and quality benchmarks.

Key Duties

• Oversight of daily civil, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing operations on-site.
• Execute construction following certified drawings and quality criteria.
• Draft weekly work schedules and track progress to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, structural experts, and service teams to address site-related challenges.
• Plan labor and material needs proactively to eliminate delays.
• Verify measurements, quantities, and contractor invoices prior to approval submissions.
• Supervise material usage to minimize waste and maintain site documentation.
• Inspect workmanship at various stages ensuring defects are promptly corrected.
• Coordinate plumbing and electrical installations to avoid conflicts and rework.
• Maintain site safety protocols, cleanliness, and ensure completed areas are prepared.
• Prepare daily progress reports containing photographs, manpower details, unresolved issues, and objectives for the following day.
• Manage snag lists to guarantee flats and communal areas are ready for handover.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
• At least 4 years of relevant site experience, preferably involving multi-storey residential projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and working drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong abilities in contractor coordination, construction planning, and problem resolution.
• Practical knowledge of quality inspections, quantity assessment, and finishing techniques.
• Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi for clear communication.
• Demonstrated accountability, punctual reporting, and systematic follow-up on assigned tasks.

Performance Goals

Ensure construction work is completed within set timelines, maintain consistent quality, deliver accurate measurements, control material wastage, and efficiently resolve site issues.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranging from 20000 to 35000 INR.
