Team and Role Overview
The Project Delivery Group (PDG) at Hatch is a proactive team dedicated to world-class project execution worldwide, specializing in sustainable studies, asset creation, operations, and enhancing industry efficiency. Our Civil Engineering team is tasked with a diverse range of services in transport infrastructure including site planning, earthworks, drainage and flood impact analysis, working closely with Earth Sciences to support road and rail projects. We seek an experienced Civil Drafter to assist in producing and managing precise civil design drawings across various project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed civil drawings using AutoCAD for design, construction, and as-built phases.
- Compile and distribute drawing and PDF packages per project specifications and client protocols.
- Assist with document control activities such as file management, downloads and uploads, and maintaining drawing registers.
- Manage drawing libraries and maintain standard detail catalogs.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including designers, engineers, and project members.
- Communicate effectively with CAD managers, lead civil designers, engineering staff, and junior team members.
- Ensure drawings conform to applicable standards, regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
- Commit to safe practices, quality assurance, and timely delivery of projects.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in civil drafting with proven proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads, or Civil 3D is a plus.
- Associate Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field from a reputable institution.
- Understanding of civil infrastructure standards, especially for road and rail authorities, with preference given to candidates acquainted with Transport and Main Roads (TMR) standards.
- High standard of personal safety, integrity, professionalism, and customer orientation.
- Enjoys working within small, tight-knit teams with clear communication, strong organisational skills, prioritisation ability, and autonomy in task management.
