Civil Drafter

Role Overview

We are seeking a Civil CAD Drafter with expertise in creating and revising detailed civil engineering drawings. Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD and able to interpret architectural and structural plans to develop precise working and shop drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and modify civil drawings using AutoCAD with attention to industry standards.
• Analyze architectural and structural drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Use knowledge of plans, elevations, sections, details, and drawing schedules to prepare comprehensive documents.
• Apply civil engineering terminology and construction information effectively in drawings.
• Work competently with CAD features such as layers, groups, blocks, external references, layouts/viewports, scales, units, dimensions, annotations, hatching, plotting, and coordinate systems.
• Develop and maintain accurate drawing registers, revision markings, and numbering systems.
• Coordinate architectural and structural drawings to detect and resolve discrepancies.
• Organize and manage CAD files methodically for ease of access and version control.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Familiarity with Autodesk Revit software.
• Skills in MS Excel for quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
• Experience with civil billing and measurement sheets.

Compensation and Work Setting

Applicants with knowledge of Revit, Excel, quantity take-off or billing may receive higher remuneration based on their skills and experience. A work-from-home option is available to accommodate flexible working arrangements.
