Job description

Job Overview

This permanent full-time role based in various locations across Aberdeen requires candidates to provide a community-focused service ensuring safety, cleanliness, and traffic flow using appropriate enforcement actions. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check and potentially hold PVG Membership, with associated costs outlined for those roles with a salary above a specified threshold.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate within a team and follow agreed shift patterns to deliver visible and accessible community services.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and free traffic flow in local communities.
  • Implement enforcement measures to meet service goals effectively.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience managing challenging customer interactions and difficult situations.
  • Proactive work approach with minimal supervision.
  • Competency in executing practical tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate written reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships on behalf of the council.
  • Proficiency in computer use and electronic communication networks.
  • Capability to successfully pass a Disclosure Scotland check.

Additional Information

  • Applicants must be aware that from April 1, 2023, candidates in roles requiring PVG membership with a salary of £30,000 or above are responsible for the PVG membership fee, initially covered by the council and then deducted from the first full month’s salary.
