Job description
Role Summary
This role is for junior kitchen staff, specifically Commis 1 and Commis 2, responsible for food preparation, station setup (mise en place), and supporting senior chefs in cooking authentic Chinese cuisine.
Experience and Skills Required
- Commis 1 candidates should have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience working in Chinese kitchens or restaurants.
- Commis 2 candidates require 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, although freshers with culinary training are also considered.
- Good foundational knowledge of Chinese cooking methods and dishes is essential.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are necessary.
- A positive attitude, discipline, and eagerness to learn will be valued.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety protocols is mandatory.
