Chief Operating Officer

Role Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the comprehensive operational effectiveness of a major contractor specializing in luxury hotel projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This leader will ensure impeccable delivery of high-end hotel developments aligned with corporate strategy and Vision 2030, prioritizing safety, quality, profitability, and adherence to schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations encompassing construction, engineering, procurement, commercial, health, safety, environment (HSE), and quality assurance.
• Successfully deliver several high-value luxury hotel projects meeting international brand requirements, within stipulated timelines and budgets.
• Enhance profit margins through rigorous cost control, cash flow management, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Serve as the principal operational liaison with clients, hotel operators, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Implement and uphold rigorous HSE, quality, and governance processes with uncompromised standards.
• Develop and lead high-performing project leadership teams fostering a culture of accountability and exceptional performance.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with preference for Master’s degree holders.
• Over 25 years of experience in major contracting roles, including senior executive leadership positions.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering luxury hospitality and upscale mixed-use projects within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• Comprehensive understanding of Saudi construction laws, contracting methodologies, and key stakeholder networks.
• Proven ability to scale operations and lead complex projects critical to brand reputation.
